SLAVIOR Seeks Guitar Player
December 10, 2006Drummer Mark Zonder (ex-FATES WARNING, WARLORD) of SLAVIOR has issued the following update:
"SLAVIOR is starting to gear up for some live dates that will start at the end of January 2007. We are currently seeking a guitar player who plays a seven-string and sings a bit. A local San Diego bass player, Kevin Freeby, will be playing bass with [vocalist] Gregg [Analla, ex-TRIBE OF GYPSIES], [guitarist/keyboardist] Wayne [Findlay, MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP] and I. We are all very excited and looking forward to playing. Stay tuned for the exact dates and time for the shows."
SLAVIOR recently posted the track "Origin" on its MySpace page. The song comes off the group's upcoming self-titled debut album, due in early 2007 via Inside Out Music.
A versatile, melodic hard rock/metal act, SLAVIOR's debut album features elements familiar to Zonder's progressive metal past, but also introduces a wide array influences including reggae, hip-hop, and modern rock.
The band had originally inked a deal with Greece's Black Lotus Records, but financial turmoil eventually caused the label to fold, leaving SLAVIOR to re-evaluate matters and come to their initial choice of labels, Inside Out.
